Avocado category shows 5.2% volume growth so far this year

n the four weeks ending May 16, the avocado category recorded 177 million units in retail sales, which drove $204 million at $1.16 per unit, according to the board.
Year-to-date dollar sales, through May 16, were $942.8 million, according to the board, while year-to-date unit sales were pegged at 908.5 million.
